Mise en Scene

Mise en Scene translates to 'everything on camera'. There are five elements of Mise en Scene these are:

• Settings and props
• Costume and make up
• Facial expressions and body language
• Lighting and colour 
• Positioning of objects 

The setting of a film can show a genre an example of this is in a spaceship the genre will be Sci-Fi.
