On Friday we handed in our first draft of our film opening The eZ Life. It was shown to all Media students who were given feedback forms to add their thoughts on how we could improve our opening the second time around. The majority of the feedback was overwhelmingly positive with 40/60 being a rough average. However many of the feedback sheets did not contain any specific suggestions on how we could improve our opening. There were two which stood out to me as being accurate and useful which can be seen below.
The main reoccurring criticism was that the ending was not good enough. As a group we expected this as we were unprepared to make the end scene and rushed it to fit the deadline. In order to improve the ending we have started to arrange make up to make Issak look like a Zombie and will gradually incorporate it throughout the opening to make it obvious to the audience he is turning into a Zombie.
Also many people thought the drug effect which Issak edited over the party scenes was good but lasted for to long. As a result of this Issak reduced the time that the effect lasts for on Premiere today. So that our main focus can from now be the Zombie scene.
